How to fix a bugged quest in WoW? ›

Changing zones and coming back to the quest zone can sometimes resolve phasing issues. Joining a group with someone on a different realm can fix issues with progression, phasing, or NPCs. Abandoning and re-taking the quest can fix issues with NPCs or quest progression, but may lose any progress made on the quest.

Follow up all the quests you get from Sabellian and Wrathion, talk to the Ebyssian in the end, watch the storyline movies, take portal to seat of the aspects, watch the coronation, talk to Alexstrasza and you get the Flame extinguished done.

If you find yourself "phased out" from other players or NPCs, first check to see if you have any unfinished quests in the area by looking at your map. You may also find resources such as WoWhead to be helpful in finding quest lines for the area you are in. If the issue persists, please contact Customer Support.

Common Problems

In WoW Classic, a quest will automatically appear in the tracker only when you complete an objective towards the quest, and you have Automatic Quest Tracking enabled. To enable this option open the Main Menu (ESC), click on Display, and check Automatic Quest Tracking.
