When does sorority rush begin at the University of Florida?
The sorority recruitment process at the University of Florida is very formal and competitive.
Prospective members must register in advance and submit a personal testimonial video before the start of in-person recruitment. Following an orientation session, before classes have even started, prospective members start a four-round series of house visits and preference submissions to begin limiting the chapters of interest, with chapters limiting the prospective members they are interviewing. Rounds two and three consist of three days of visits to chapter houses for brief parties with the current members, some of which are themed.
The fourth round limits the house visits further for prospective members to make their final impression on the sorority chapters they were invited to visit. The process ends with Bid Day, when prospective new members are offered bids to join one of their preferred sororities, although not every prospect receives a bid.
How much does it cost to join a sorority at the University of Florida?
